The Weekend.

DadKat went to Dallas to visit Uncle Corey and go fishing. So the boys hung out. We had a fun filled weekend.

Then we went to a pumpkin patch for Oscar's friend Jackson's 3rd birthday.

And Hendrix just watched everything from the comfort of his stroller.

Then we went to Hooter's for a tasting of Hendrix's birthday. Glamma got the kids some presents to remember thier visit. Hendrix got a Hooter's girl that grows in the water.

And Oscar got a golf ball and tee....the Hooter's girl is the tee, and you hit it off her head.

Soccer & Football

We got the O-man playing soccer now.

Stretching is very important in soccer, except my son picks the best spots to exercise....between 2 chicks.

Ok, we are almost back to normal in the Kat house. We have had birthday party galores here. Here is Oscar at his girl Hadley's first birthday party. He is sitting in her chair, enjoying a cupcake.

Then the next day it was off to my boy Angelo's birthday party.

Then we went to the zoo and even brought Hendrix with!

I am sorry I have been slacking with updates! We were in South Carolina for a week, then it was crazy when we got back THEN Hendrix had a huge surgery. Here is the baby boy on his 10 month birthday going into surgery. I asked the nurses if I could take home his hospital gown and little baby IV because he was soooo cute in it, but they didn't really think that was a good idea.

Happy Belated Birthday Weekend Oscar

Oscar turned 3 on Friday, and it was a full weekend for the boy.

A huge birthday party at a fire station with all his friends.

Here is Oscar chilling at the fire hydrant.

He wouldn't go in the fire truck....but Hendrix and Mom did!

The next day-Dad and Oscar went to the Cubs game and Oscar had his name on the scoreboard!

So cool!

Then the big family birthday bash and ANOTHER cake for the O-man. Happy Birthday Oscar!

Hendrix is 9 months old today!

We celebrated by complaining about the heat, and watching t.v. under the covers in the air conditioning!

Potty Training....uh, take 2

Today we got Oscar awesome new big boy underwear to get him started on potty-training before his 3rd birthday.

And then 20 minutes later as Oscar was getting a "time out," he left us this surprise...better luck next time.

Boys of Summer

We are getting some warm weather here in the Chicagoland area.

Here we are at Glamma's club and Oscar is finally swimming by himself

(with the use of a floation device.)

Oscar loves his floaty so much, he wears it all the time and eats lunch with it too!

Hendrix was chillin' at the baby pool, but here is the big boy enjoying Glamma's famous mac n cheese. If you want the recipe, send me a message and I am sure you have all the ingredients in your house, if not-you can get them at a gas station or Walgreen's.

Lil' Taste of Summer

The Kat Klan went to a lil' fest we had in our town.

We hooked up with some friends and family (cuzin Kevin came!)

What a joke this summer has been. We are wearing long sleeve shirts, socks and frowns. We went for a walk today around the burbs, I guess the good thing is that we weren't sweating and hot! Here is O & Dad checking out the river dam.

.....and Hendrix jealously looked at the boys with a fishing pole riding shot gun.

We do have some bragging to do. This is a bean from Oscar's bean plant he brought home from school in May. We planted it with our tomatoes, jalpenos, basil, parsley and oregano and totally forgot about it. I found this giant today, here it is next to my phone to give you an idea how big it is.

Freezing Friday.

Yep, it was a July scorcher today, and we had a playdate at Butterfield CC. At first, I thought we had VIP service and the whole pool was rented out for us, but then I realized it was cloudy and 65 degrees!

Here is Oscar NOT in the pool, chilling (seriously, CHILLING) on the chair.

And Hendrix we left at home, of course....here he is before bed, he wants his bottle NOW! Just wanted to show off the 6 snaggle teeth, got 2 more coming in too.
